CVNY October 2019: Professional Development
On October 16, CVNY organized a special Professional Development workshop on conflict resolution led by Beth Fisher-Yoshida, PhD, Columbia University – Academic Director of MS in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution Program.
The workshop covered basic principles and practices we can all integrate into our lives, both professional and personal, that will really make a difference, including:
• Developing self-awareness and who you are as a negotiator
• Utilizing effective communication skills
• Selecting the most appropriate conflict resolution approach
• Managing emotional triggers
