JANUARY 2019: VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION

The first meeting of the New Year concentrated on volunteer recognition as a component of an Employee Volunteer Program. Recognition strategies help raise awareness within the employee base and also provide an opportunity to raise community awareness about the great work employee volunteers do.

This session focused on peer networking and sharing best practices around three group discussion topics:

• Prizes for excellency in volunteerism led by Maryam Shariat (Founder, MoreFul.ly)
• CEO involvement led by John Kenny (Vice President, Citizenship at Barclays)
• Communication of award/excellency led by Jaye Corvino (Volunteer & Engagement Manager, Corporate Sustainability at HSBC Bank)

The event took place on January 9 at Major League Baseball, Office of the Commissioner.
