May 2021: Disaster & Humanitarian Relief – Tools for Effective Response in an Evolving Landscape
In the last couple of years companies have expanded the realm of responses from natural disaster response to include humanitarian crises, such as COVID-19 and racial equity. Members gained tools to help companies build resilience and effectively make decisions to address humanitarian and natural disasters, both within their companies and externally.
We were joined by two experts in this field – Doug Stockham, Co-founder of the Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc. (EAF), and Marc DeCourcey, Senior Vice President at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. During this session, CVNY members learned about evolving trends and best practices related to disaster and humanitarian assistance and the tools available to help Corporate Responsibility professionals make informed and impactful decisions when responding to crises.
